our centennial Anniversary
Privately owned for eight decades, Glen Brook operated as a semi-private club supporting a great membership opportunity, while still providing public golf.
In 2006, Stroud Township purchased the golf course and some surrounding property as part of an open-space initiative to offer activities to the general public. Since then, the township has invested in improving the golf course and creating a special place for the local community to gather.
Some areas of the property are available at different times of the year for outdoor activities such as hiking, bird-watching, fishing, and cross-country skiing. View details by visiting the Stroud Region Open Space & Recreation web site.

Course Improvements
2020 marked the start of our 5-year master plan, taking us to our 100-year anniversary in 2024. This plan includes improvements on every part of our facility with the one goal: a more enjoyable Glen Brook for everyone!
Our plan began with the removal of over 70 trees from the property, while also adding new flowering trees throughout the course to enhance the views and promote environmental sustainability.
We added a new 35-car parking lot to assist with our busier days and, in the process, we relocated built a brand new Pro Shop in our lower clubhouse.
To further improve the golf course, we are planning renovations on multiple holes. New tee boxes on our opening hole, including a new cart path, opened in June 2021. Several new cart paths were added in 2022 and 2023. Other course improvements are being considered for the 2024 golf season.
We will continue to evaluate the course and make whatever enhancements are needed to create an enjoyable experience for everyone who visits Glen Brook. Stay tuned for more updates!
